The 2015 schedule for the Eastern region has just been posted and there are lots of changes for next year with a lot more races in the north of the region!
It depends on what you want to do really The reason I have put this page up is so that you can what events are on where and with the links that you can apply on.
The one thing to bear in mind is that in general historically the ones in the eastern league fill up very quickly so you need to be quick off the mark!
I appreciate that you may have your own social life and the dates do not always suit. I will ping you over an Excel version. If anyone needs a lift to an event more than happy to do the ferrying if we are going anyway!
This email from Malc Jacklin of the Fenland Clarion Cycling Club might interest a few:
" The Fenland Clarion will once again be organising some youth cyclocross race nights similar to last years, with a few more variations on the course. These will suit youth riders of all abilities, and they will follow the British Cycling Go Ride Racing making it ideal entry level racing, and suitable for getting started with competitive events.
The races will be cyclocross which means on the grass, and every rider should get at least two races, and the details are on the British Cycling website.
Registration will be from 6.00, with racing due to start at 6.30. Each event will be in age groups, so even the youngest will be able to take part, and the oldest riders will be under 16 age group (racing seperately to the younger ones) The plan is to be finished by around 8.00.
The evenings will cost £4 each with prizes for the series. Hopefully your PACTRAC youngsters will all want to try these events, and if you are aware of any others who maybe interested please help us by passing the details on.
These three events will be on
Friday 27th February Friday 27th March and Friday 24th April
They will be at our usual venue The Embankment Athletic Track, Bishops Road, PE1 5BW, with free parking in the adjacent Regional pool car park and refreshments and full changing will be available.
Eastern League Children’s Event at Basildon Sports Village with over 300 Entrants.
Olivia Corner secured a podium finish to come 3rd in TS1 Girls race – She finished with her customary strong run and was able to keep a number of challengers at arm’s length Toby Cooke continued his progress with a PB in the TS2 Boys events finishing with a PB with a much improved swim. Katie Tasker lost her chain at the start of Bike section and lost a lot of valuable time which when restored to action she made up for lost time and was able to enter the run phase with a comfortable lead she was able to maintain.
