Katie will be there at both but no Lottie
Will take flags and take the 'race stuff' to Woodnewton for Sunday.
Any other volunteers for Sunday to help set up?

Only my husband! Numbers are low for both training and the race as it is half term and lots of Juniors are away.

Just a note to say a huge well done to Jonathan, Liam & Dan for competing in the Senior event today - A brilliant performance by you all!

Sun, 26th Oct 2014 - 4:50 p.m.

Couldn't agree more. Excellent effort Jonathan, Liam and Dan. It was tough conditions too.

Also really well done to those who won PACTRAC Junior Trophies. Jonathan, Katie, Archie, Olivia and Daniel.

Advance performance vouchers were very kindly sponsored by Neil Oakey.

Well done all.

I am planning to start a weekly Junior swim session at Stanground on a tuesday evening 7.00pm - 8.00pm. We would only have one lane and the sessions would be aimed at those that are less confident in the water and don't swim with another swim squad.

Please let me know if you are interested and we can get them started. Please e-mail me on sam.fielding@sycamorebmw.co.uk

Thanks

Sam

Many thanks for all the e-mails back. I have had enough positive responses that as of the 11th November we will start weekly PACTRAC Junior swim sessions at Stanground 7.00-8.00 pm.

As we have only got one lane numbers can not really exceed 8 juniors per session but we will see how it goes :-p

See you all on Sunday at the frostbite.

Take care

Sam

There is Junior training this Saturday 8th Nov at Stanground 2.30 to 4.30. I will be leading a run session for the first hour 2.30 - 3.30 then Simon will be leading a swim session 3.30 - 4.30.

We will be running outside and with the weather turning chillier make sure you bring suitable clothing and a drink.

Please also make sure you have goggles and a swim hat for the swim session.

As normal if you can e-mail to let me know you are attending or post on this forum that would be great as it really helps with planning.

Hello All,

This weeks session 22nd Nov is 2.30 - 4.30 at Stanground.

First bit 2.30 - 3.30 is running. We are going to put on the races that were postponed at the club AGM. 1500 M for Tristart and TS1 (9 and under) then a 3000 m for everyone else. If any of the younger ones would rather do the 3000 m they are more than welcome.

There are trophies for both races for 1st boy and 1st girl.

3.30 - 4.30 is a fun inflatable session in the pool... this will be the last Saturday session at Stanground this side of Christmas so come and have some fun.

If you can e-mail me to let me know you are coming it would be much appreciated plus which distance race you would like to take part in. sam.fielding@sycamorebmw.co.uk

The next session on the 6th Dec Simon Hoppe will be taking at the rowing lake in Peterborough. Don't worry you won't be swimming in the lake! This will be a run session, I will confirm timings closer to the date.

Take care and hope to see you on Saturday.

Wed, 28th Jan 2015 - 5:23 p.m.

Hello All,

I hope you are all well? We have an exciting and busy weekend lined up.

There is a training session this Saturday 2.30 - 4.30 but this week we are joined by Olympic swimmer Mark Stevens. Mark is going to give a short talk on the training involved in becoming an Olympic athlete and getting to compete at that standard, then there will be the chance for a question and answer session (you can start thinking of some now).

Mark is then going to take the swim session but don't worry... I am conscious we have the Frostbite on Sunday so it won't be really hard and will cater for all.

Kit wise we are going to do some running relays for the first half hour 2.30 - 3.00 so please bring running kit, you will need swim kit for the swim session 3.30 - 4.30, that includes drink, goggles and swim cap.

Sunday we have Bourne Frostbite, we are doing brilliantly at the moment currently we are in 4th place but we are only 2 points off 2nd so all to play for.

It would be great if we got another amazing turnout, all are welcome as long as you are a PACTRAC member and 9 years or over. You must also run in a PACTRAC top (let me know if you need one). If we get to Bourne for about 9.45 with a warm up to start at 10.00 that should give everyone enough time to get to the start.

The Seniors are also very impressed with the support they are getting from the Juniors at the races and it is really appreciated.

Any way I have rambled on long enough now!

Any questions please e-mail and I look forward to seeing lots of you on Saturday and Sunday.

Take care

Sam

Sat, 31st Jan 2015 - 7:13 p.m.

Wed, 11th Mar 2015 - 4:52 p.m.

Hello All,

I hope you are all well?

We have lots of fun planned for this weekends session. As a well done for all your hard work over the winter and the brilliant Frostbite results we are putting on a slightly different session.

2.30 - 3.30 will be a team cross country Easter Egg Hunt followed by 3.30 - 4.30 a fun session in the pool with the inflatable's. Please bring suitable clothing for running outside, it will be stop start so make sure you have plenty of layers, we don't want anyone getting cold.

Younger siblings are allowed to join in the session as long as an older one will buddy up and look after them AND they can swim enough to be safe in the deep end of the pool unaided.

If you can let me know if you are planning to attend it will really help with planning and making sure I have enough Easter Eggs!

Parents I will need help for the Easter Egg Hunt to man the various stations and hand out Easter Egg tokens, if you are able to help it would be very much appreciated. Again if you can let me know in advance it will help with planning how adventurous we can be!

Many thanks

Sam

Email received from Malc Jacklin who runs the Fenland Clarion GoRide Junior Section:

"The Fenland Clarion will once again be organising some youth cyclocross race nights similar to last years, with the next one THIS Friday 27th March. These will suit youth riders of all abilities, and they will follow the British Cycling Go Ride Racing making it ideal entry level racing, and suitable for getting started with competitive events.

The races will be cyclocross which means on the grass, and every rider should get at least two races, and the details are on the British Cycling website.

Registration will be from 6.00, with racing due to start at 6.30. Each event will be in age groups, so even the youngest will be able to take part, and the oldest riders will be under 16 age group (racing seperately to the younger ones).
The plan is to be finished by around 8.00.

The evenings will cost £4 each with prizes for the series. Hopefully your youngsters will all want to try these events, and if you are aware of any others who maybe interested please help us by passing the details on.

These three events will be on

Friday 27th February
Friday 27th March
and
Friday 24th April

They will be at our usual venue The Embankment Athletic Track, Bishops Road, PE1 5BW, with free parking in the adjacent Regional pool car park and refreshments and full changing will be available.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you have all had a brilliant summer holiday. There has been some fabulous racing and results from PACTRAC Juniors, WITRI tri being one of the highlights. Many thanks once again to the Taskers' for hosting the PACTRAC Juniors BBQ.

Just a quick e-mail to let you know Junior sessions start back up this Saturday the 5th Sept.

Once I have sorted out what coaches I have available I will finalise the session but at the moment we are transition training for the first hour so you will need everything for biking and running then swimming 3.30 - 4.30.

I will send an e-mail out later with more details.

If all new Juniors could make sure they are there for 2.20 we can get parent consent forms filled in.

More details to follow :-)
