Swim Training

I live at North Luffenham and am struggfling to find a local swim group. Oundle is about 35mins for me so it isnt really practical for me to attend regularly. does anyone near me swim locally (Stamford/Oakham?uppingham)? if so where and at what time? would be great to hook up with a group to help the motivation.

Oundle is a bit of a trek for me as well. There is a new sport center that has opened in Oakham - didn't realise till I did a sportive from there that has a 25m pool. I ment to look into what sessions they did. Am always looking for motivation for swimming and making it more convenient and cheaper on petrol would help!

Stamford tri have regular sessions in Stamford so may be worth getting in touch with them.

where and when do you swim right now? i swim most days in the morning at the new school pool in uppingham

I have had a bit of a break but my training starts again in November so about to look at my options! Swimming though is just going to be for fun as both my main races next year are running not tri (VLM and Lakeland 50). Will do a few HIMs for fun.

Do you know of any good swim sessions at weekends?

uppingham and oakham have some sessions at a weekend but there are no groups that i presently go to.
