PACTRAC swim hats

At the 2010 AGM I asked if the club would consider making PACTRAC swim hats available to members. This would be a good way of promoting the club at external swims and would make us look more of a group at club swims. Apparently it was going to be discussed. Have heard nothing since.

What's happened, if anything?

Just had a quick look at some site's. Does anybody know of some websites that can do swim hats plus printing for a reasonable price.

These are silicone ones, which is probably what we want?

What's the best way to get an answer on all things PACTRAC?

Hi Sally. I'll have a look at it once the Ride and Tie is out of the way. The next Committee Meeting is on 29th March.

Swimshop have quoted me as below:

"If you order 25 caps with just the logo, the price will be as follows:-

25 caps @ £4.85 = £121.25
2 Screens @ £15.95 = £31.90
TOTAL = £153.15 / 25 = £6.13 each

The price for caps with names will depend on how many caps are to have names on and how many caps per swimmer/name are required?

If all 25 caps are to have names on and you require 1 cap per name (25 different names), the price will be as follows:-

25 caps @ £4.85 = £121.25
2 Screens @ £15.95 = £31.90
25 Setups @ £1.55 = £38.75
25 Printed Names @ £1.65 = £41.25
TOTAL = £233.15 / 25 = £9.33 each

Please be advised that the Kiefer Silicone Caps will be cheaper at £4.10 each opposed to £4.85 for the Speedo ones.

Please also note that we can print latex caps as well."

Is this what members want? Can we get a cheaper quote anywhere else?

Next year, we may be putting on an open event (assuming that the number of competitor's and marshalls at the Ride and Tie was just some kind of aberration), in which case, we would be looking to order a larger number of latex swim caps anyway.

Would members buy at this price? We would obviously look into it further, so this would be the top price.

I have another quote:

Red Silicone hats with a two colour printed logo. The minimum order is 25 units in total and this can be split between those with or without names.

£5:00 without name.
£8:00 with name.

I will put an order in, on Monday 30th April. They will then take approx 6 weeks to arrive.
