Open Water Swimming.

Their is an open water swimming group locally on Facebook called "Yes, we swim in the Nene (and sometimes the Ouse) what of it?". They tend to swim around TANSOR (nr. Oundle) or St. Neots.

On Sunday 26th Feb a few of them will be meeting at 11am for a swim at Tansor if anyone fancies a quick dip!!!!!!!!!

Dan Martin is in the River Nene at Tansor most days. Their will be others joining him at various times such as Thursday night 6:00 or 6:30pm, Saturday 8:30am and Sunday 3:00pm.

The local Open Water swimmers are meeting at Tansor on Sunday 25th March at 5:00pm to have a general clean up of the River Nene and bank.

"Our Rivers Need You! We're going to clean up the rivers and riverbanks where we swim."

Saturday 24th March
8.00am at St Neots Rowing Club, St Neots, PE19 2BH
11.00am at The Riverbank Club, Newnham, Cambridge

Sunday 25th March
5.00pm at Tansor, Near Oundle, Northamptonshire.

"What we need:

People to come swim/kayak/walk along stretches of the Ouse, the Cam and the Nene to pick up rubbish. Come armed with gloves, rubbish bags and cake for afterwards!

We'll pick up rubbish from the sides and banks for about half an hour then jump in for a dip and pick some more and then out for tea and cakes!"

Apparently the River Nene at Tansor was 11 degrees today, so is warming up!
