I have received this email from Mat Cork, our mini-series photographer:
"SkyRide 2012 Challenge.
Embankment Athletics Track.
Wednesday 18 April 2012, 6 – 9pm.
British Cycling would like to invite you all to take part in the Peterborough SkyRide Partnership’s SkyRide 2012 Challenge to launch the final 2 months of SkyRide Local in Peterborough.
The challenge will be for all those involved - including local cycling clubs, Peterborough Adapted Cycling Club, the Sports Development Team and yourselves - to cycle 2012km of the Embankment Athletics Track.
Groups of up to 20 participants will go in waves around the track 5 times or more. Each participant will complete 2km-4km at a time per wave.
We would like you to be a part of this, as the key funders, and complete the first wave towards the 2012km Challenge.
The event will take place on Wednesday 18 April (also the 100 day countdown to the London 2012 Olympic Games) between 6pm – 9pm at the Embankment Athletics Track.
You will be expected to be available to take part from 6pm for the photo shoot and your 5 laps will take approximately 5-6mins. The handcyclists will have already completed 1hrs worth of laps of the track.
Can you please confirm that you will be able to take part in the challenge by 5pm on Monday 16th April by return email to matcork@britishcycling.org.uk
Feel free to bring your own bicycle, however there will be bicycles and handcycles available to use on the evening."
