Paul Vernon......... 9...10....8...10....9....= 46
Steve Giles.......... 8.....8....8....8....9....= 41
David Allsop......... 6....9....4...10....7....= 36
Nathan Tweedie... 10....9...10...............= 29
So, with just 2 races to go and your best 5 to count, Paul Vernon has a good lead in the men's standings. If Steve Giles wins the last 2 races he will gain 20 points but lose his worst 2 placings (8 and 8) so can only gain 4 more points at most which would put him on 45.
If Dave Allsop wins the next TWO races he will gain 20 points but lose 10 (6 and 4) so he can only come =1st at best.
Realistically, therefore, it is between Paul and Nathan, but Nathan needs to get 18 points from the next two races (a win and a 3rd or 2 second places) to win outright. If Paul gains another 2nd place, that will replace his 8 points with a 9. If he gets another win that will give him 10 to replace his 8 and 48 points will mean that Nathan can only come 1st equal.
Claire Piercy......... 8....6...10....10....8....= 42
Fanchon Wright..... 5....8...10.....7....7....= 37
Laura Johnson....... 9.....4....9....9....6....= 37
Cath Hunt.............. 7.....8....7....4....5....= 31
Christina Cork...... 10....10....9..............= 29
Tracey McCartney.. 9.....9...10..............= 28
Georgina Jennings.. 7.....8....6....6.........= 27
Roz Giles............. 10.....8....8...............= 26
The Ladies Trophy is wide open, with only Georgina in the top 8 unable now to claim the Trophy. Can Claire hang on to top spot? Christina, Tracey and Roz have all done only 3 races, so if any of them can win the next 2 races, they will get 20 points and not have to lose any.
