PACTRAC had 6 athletes in the World Age Group Standard Distance
Championships.
Distances were:
swim 750 metres - this was reduced
from the advertised 1500 metres on safety grounds, i.e., the water had
got colder, and the organisers were concerned, not so much with
athletes getting cold in the swim, but suffering from hypothermia on
the bike afterwards.
bike 25 miles - twice out, on the site's of
London, along the Mall, through to Buckingham Palace, right over to
Tower Hill and back, and a half-loop of Hyde Park.
run 6.25 miles around Hyde Park.
