I have received this email from Malc Jacklin of the Fenland Clarion Cycling Club.
If anybody is interested in being in a team of ten riders to ride static bikes for 1-hour to generate the power needed for the accompanying Bands to play, please email Malc on helen.malc@ntlworld.com
Not sure how much it costs per team, but here's some info:
"Please find details of an event taking place in Ferry Meadows next Saturday 14th September which we have been invited to take part in. This will involve cycling for one hour (or part of if people want to swap).
If you are interested please reply to me in the first instance as we need to get 10 riders interested, but I am happy to be one of them, so we only need another nine. A swift response would also be appreciated with your availability for each of the timeslots and if you have a preference for any of the time slots.
Regards
Malc

On September the 14th Travelchoice in partnership with Nene Park Trust, Vivacity and the British Heart Foundation will host an active travel event in Ferry Meadows Country Park as the launch of a week of activities as part of Travelchoice Week 2013. The aim of the event is to promote walking and cycling for health benefits promoting active travel modes for both commuter journeys and recreation.
The event revolves around a pedal powered sound system, the same as that which was used at the Green Festival this year. 12 teams will keep the power going for a 12 hour concert and all proceeds will go to the British Heart Foundation, raising awareness of cycling for health to make Peterborough a cleaner, greener and healthier place to live and work.
I wondered if perhaps you would be interested in entering a team to keep the power going and promote cycling in Peterborough and the work that you do?

Hi Malc,
You would need a team of 10 plus extras if anyone wants to swap off. You would have a one hour slot and other groups and businesses have an hour each as well. The time slots we have left are:
7pm 8pm
8pm 9pm
9pm 10pm
There will be local bands playing into the evening and BBQ as well as a cycle tryout loop so there should be plenty going on so Im not particularly looking for anything else. If you have any other contacts from who may want to enter a team please let me know.
Your help is much appreciated, Im finding it quite difficult filling the last three slots and it would be terrible for the bands to turn up and not have any power!
Best wishes,
