Saturday Training at Stanground.

As last year, the PACTRAC coaching team are offering adult members a new 10 week series of coaching sessions to help prepare you for the new season. Some of our best coaches and world class age group athletes will be leading the sessions from 11th January to 14th March, with details as follows:

Dates: Every Saturday morning from 11th Jan – 14th March inclusive, 09.30 -11.30.

Place: Stanground Academy (school), Peterborough Road, Stanground, PE7 3BY.
Directions: From the Stanground Fire Station RAB, head in the direction of Farcet / Yaxley. It is the 3rd minor turning on the left. (The 2nd is the exit). We are in the new Sports Building.

Session plan:
09.30 – 10.30 – bike, run or strength & conditioning (varies by week and depending on weather conditions)
10.30 – 11.30 - Swimming technique.

Coaches (alternating weeks): Simon Hoppe, Sarah Haslam, Paul Lunn, Louis Alexander, Jonathan Whittaker.

What do you need to bring: swim and running or biking kit, £5 + a smile & plenty of enthusiasm!
Cost per session: £5

These sessions are designed to help YOU and provide YOU with low cost access to some top class PACTRAC coaches and triathletes.

Tomorrow, 11th January, we have a run technique session starting at 9:30am sharp. This will focus on form and balance. At 10:30am we have a swim technique session focusing on breathing to include various drills with some 100m timed splits for added interest. Arrive early at Stanground ready for a 9:30am start.

This is for anybody wanting to learn more about the technique of swim,bike,run, with lots of advice available. You don’t need to worry about being left behind. Tomorrow's run technique session will be outside, so dress accordingly. If you have any floats, kick boards or paddles then bring them along for the swimming - sometimes we'll use them and sometimes we won't. Just turn up - £5 on the day. No booking required.

Hello PACTRACers.

This Saturday 18th January, is week 2 of the Stanground technique training. All welcome. Just turn up on the day with £5. No booking required.

Don't forget that you can attend any two PACTRAC sessions before we ask you to join (An insurance requirement), so non-members are welcome too. Come and try us and see how you get on.

This week at 9:30am sharp, we have a seminar for the first hour with swimming author Jonathan Whittaker and PACTRAC Coach Simon Hoppe. A room has been booked at Stanground so all you will need is pen and paper. We will then be in the pool at 10:30am for some practical tips and advice.

Note: bring swimming kit, pen and paper. No bikes required.

This Saturday 25th January we will be running and swimming with Coach Sarah. Meet at Stanground for:

9:30am (sharp) A run technique session. We will be on the hard tennis courts, as the playing field is unavailable.

10:30am swimming technique. Bring swim fins If you have them, but don't worry if you don't have any, still come along. This session is for everybody.

pm - Free time to do your own thing; relax in front of SkySports, watch the mighty Posh, pack for Ethiopia or wherever your travels take you, or you could be helping out with the PACTRAC Junior Session at Stanground.
