Ralph Stevens - RIP.

Sadly, a long time PACTRAC’er from the 1990’s onwards, Ralph Stevens, passed away peacefully in hospital on Friday 16th September. Ralph who was 87 and a member for many years with his wife Margaret, competed in the Almere Ironman in 1991, and went on to represent Great Britain in the 1993 World Championships held in Manchester.
We had a good group of cyclists who continued to meet up at his home in Helpston for a weekly ride, right up until his illness in June. He was a mentor for so many of us and will be sadly missed.
There is a wake on 16th October at 1pm at the 5 Horseshoes in Barholm for anyone who would like to join his family and friends.

"Ralph was a great guy and we enjoyed many a cup of coffee at his house after our rides. He also helped many of us with any mechanical issues, even building complete bikes. He represented GB twice including at the Almere Ironman in 1991 and the World Championships in Manchester in 1993 where PACTRAC had 11 competitor's Ralph Stevens, Margaret Stevens, Georgina Jennings, Peter Mein, Eric Hatliff, Richard Wittering, Tom Doughty, Dave Carr, Debbie Jones, Heather Sanderson and Ian Rayson. Also competing was Ralph and Margaret's son Pete. RIP Ralph."

Georgina Jennings:
"Ralphy introduced me to Pactrac in 1990 just for a swim!!! Then found me a £50 bike which I did my 1st world champs on with all the above and the rest is history. Miss you Ralphy."
